Cancer Alley between Baton Rouge and New Orleans--home to hundreds of petrochemical plants--is slated to get a lot worse, and the victims of this racial injustice are fighting back against the institutionalized racism that always sites these major polluters in Black parishes.

Guest Worker Slavery
America never got over the rush of slavery, the power over other peoples lives, that made some very rich and others desperately poor. Now, H2A--the 'guest worker' program--attempts to revive that power imbalance against organized farmworkers, who, like other members of organized labor, want job security and the chance to own a home and raise a family--here where they work.
