Wartime Wounds
As former Attorney General of Mississippi, and current Attorney General of the United States Jeff Sessions continues his crusade against medical marijuana as a safe alternative to prescription opioids for chronic pain management, bipartisan efforts in Congress are pressuring the Department of Justice to expand research into the many therapeutic benefits of cannabis. Ironically, only one provider of cannabis has been approved to supply research labs--the University of Mississippi. Meanwhile, veterans suffering from PTSD and other wartime wounds have to risk VA benefits to get relief.
